Soul portraits are a series of paintings of different human souls. Every person has one.
Growing up I always felt them, and by learning to play with them they showed me their true colors, shapes and feelings.
No soul is alike, and I never know what to expect when I start a new canvas.
‘higher self’ - 2024
It takes me on average a month or two to paint a soul portrait. I lay the foundation of the artwork, process my feelings, work more on it, process more, paint more and so on. It takes me time to hear what the soul is asking me to portray it as.
These pieces are my favourite to paint. They show me the wisdom humans carry.
They teach me so much about my own existence.
